This policy explains what information Tollywood Desk (tollywooddesk.com) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. If you have a question about it, write to admin@tollywooddesk.com.
Information we collect
Server logs. Like most websites, our web server keeps standard access logs. These include your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, the referring page and the time of the request. We use them to keep the site running, investigate errors and protect it from abuse.
Contact form. When you send a message through the contact form we store the name, email address and message you enter, so the correction or question can be read and answered. We do not sell these messages or share them with anyone for marketing.
No accounts. You do not need to register or log in to use Tollywood Desk, and we do not ask for any sensitive personal information.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Tollywood Desk itself does not use cookies to identify you. Third parties that provide services on the site, such as advertising, may set their own cookies as described below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Saved films and browser storage
If you choose “Save film”, the site stores the selected film record IDs in your browser’s local storage. This optional list is not an account and is not synchronised across devices. You can remove individual films or clear the list from the Saved films page, or clear it through your browser settings. Private browsing or blocked storage may prevent the feature from retaining a list.
When you open Saved films, your browser sends the selected record IDs to our public catalogue endpoint to retrieve current film details. We do not create a server-side watchlist or send reminders. These requests may appear in the standard server logs described above.
Advertising
Tollywood Desk displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and may work with other advertising partners in the future. These services help pay for running the site.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.

How we use information
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
- To read and reply to corrections and questions you send us.

We do not sell personal information.
Third-party links and sources
Movie and person pages link to their source records on Wikidata and Wikipedia, and some pages link to other external sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
Data retention
Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. Contact messages are kept while they are useful for answering a correction or question and may then be deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain uses of it. To make a request, email admin@tollywooddesk.com.
Children
Tollywood Desk is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
