About

Tollywood Desk is an English-language reference site for Telugu cinema. It keeps track of films and the people who make them: release dates, directors, casts, music, production companies and filmographies, alongside longer articles about the most significant films and careers in the industry.

What you will find here

• Movie pages with the release date, director, cast, runtime, music and production company when those facts are on record.
• People pages for actors, directors and technicians, with a filmography built from our film records.
• Release tracking for what is coming up, out this week, in theatres and on streaming.
• Articles on major films and careers, written from published sources.

Where the information comes from

Film records are compiled from Wikidata, and each movie page links to its source record. Articles are written from Wikipedia and Wikidata. They are drafted with the help of software and checked against those sources: a fact that is not in the source does not go into the article.

What we do not do

We are not a studio or a distributor, and a date here is not an official announcement. Studios postpone films, and when a date changes, the movie record changes. We do not publish rumours as fact, and we do not host or link to copies of films.

Corrections

If something is wrong or missing, please tell us through the contact page or at admin@tollywooddesk.com. Include the film or person name and, if you have it, the Wikidata link from the page.
