Seerat Kapoor (born 3 April 1994) is an Indian actress, model, choreographer and dancer who works mainly in Telugu cinema. She began as an assistant choreographer and made her acting debut in Run Raja Run (2014), and her later films include Tiger, Columbus, Raju Gari Gadhi 2, Touch Chesi Chudu and Krishna and His Leela (2020).
Early life
Seerat Kapoor was born in Mumbai. Her mother, Neena Sihota Kapoor, is an Air India air hostess. She attended Podar International School in Santa Cruz and R. D. National College in Bandra, and began a degree in mass communication that she left because of her acting commitments. She has trained in Indian classical singing since the age of 12.
Dance
At 16 she began dancing with the Bollywood choreographer Ashley Lobo at The Danceworx in Mumbai, where she became a full-time instructor. She worked as an assistant choreographer on Rockstar (2011), and then trained as an actor at the Roshan Taneja School of Acting.
Debut
Her first film was Run Raja Run (2014), directed by Sujeeth, opposite Sharwanand; it was a commercial success. In 2015 she played Ganga in the Varanasi-set action film Tiger, with Sundeep Kishan and Rahul Ravindran, and Neeraja in R. Shamala’s romantic comedy Columbus, opposite Sumanth Ashwin, where her performance was called the film’s highlight.
Later films
By October 2017 she had finished Raju Gari Gadhi 2, opposite Nagarjuna, and was filming Touch Chesi Chudu, opposite Ravi Teja, and Okka Kshanam, with Allu Sirish.
Streaming and endorsements
She later appeared in the Netflix film Krishna and His Leela (2020). She has endorsed brands including Vivel, Apollo Tyres and Mahindra Gusto.
