Thellakaagitham (also written Thella Kaagitham, “a blank piece of paper”) is a 2026 Telugu teen romantic drama directed by Ramesh Bandreddi, with Harsh Roshan and debutant Nakshatra in the lead roles. It opened in theatres on 2 October 2026.

What the story is about

Ramu and Asha are 16-year-old intermediate students in a small Andhra Pradesh town in the late 2000s, a world of landlines and very little internet. An exchange of lunch boxes at school starts a friendship that turns into a romance. When the two face a crisis they are afraid to take to their elders, they try to handle it on their own, and the choices they make change their lives. The Hindu describes it as a cautionary story about teenage love, based on true incidents.

  • Nakshatra as Asha, in her first film

Crew and music

The screenplay is credited to Nandu Savirigana in The Hindu’s review. Vijai Bulganin composed the music; the songs include “Telusa Telusa”, sung by Anudeep Dev and Lipsika, and “Premante Manadhe Antu”, sung by Karthik and Sameera Bharadwaj, both with lyrics by Suresh Banisetti. K. V. Guhan shot the film.

What critics said

The Hindu found the first hour a light, slice-of-life romance and praised the lead performances, Vijai Bulganin’s songs and Guhan’s cinematography, but felt the final stretch turned melodramatic and dated, and that the film needed more nuance in how it treats its women characters and the adults around the teenagers. 123telugu rated it 2.75/5, calling it an okayish youthful drama with a passable first half, good comedy and music, and a second half that slows down and becomes predictable.
