Love Story is a 2021 Telugu musical romantic drama written and directed by Sekhar Kammula and produced by Amigos Creations and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi play the leads, with Rajeev Kanakala, Devayani, Easwari Rao and Uttej. It was released on 24 September 2021 and has been streaming on Aha since 22 October 2021.
What the story is about
Revanth, a young Christian man from a lower caste, runs a Zumba centre in Hyderabad. Mounika, from an upper-caste family in the same home town, Armoor, moves in next door while looking for a job. After a rocky start she starts working with him, their partnership turns into love, and the couple have to face the caste prejudice and the family power back home that stand in their way. Aha describes it as a message-oriented romantic film about an inter-caste relationship.

The film was launched in Tirupati on 27 June 2019 and shot in Hyderabad, elsewhere in Telangana and in Dubai.
Release and reception
First set for 2 April 2020, the release was put off several times because of the COVID-19 pandemic, then moved from 10 September 2021 to avoid a clash with Tuck Jagadish, finally reaching theatres on 24 September 2021. Reviews were mixed: critics praised the performances and criticised the length. The Times of India called it Kammula’s “ode to love” and one of Chaitanya’s best performances, and Hindustan Times felt it works largely because of its sensible treatment and the two leads, despite a hurried climax, according to Wikipedia. 123telugu reported a runtime of 2 hours 38 minutes before release.
