Emo Emo Idi is an upcoming Telugu romantic entertainer written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the director of the HIT films, in his first move into romance. It stars Roshan Meka and Preity Mukhundhan, with music by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya produce it under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, presented by Srikara Studios. Emo Emo Idi is set to open in theatres on 30 October 2026.
What the film is about
The makers describe a breezy, youthful love story about romance in the Gen Z era. Roshan Meka plays Abhay, a boy-next-door working out love in modern times, and Preity Mukhundhan plays Apoorva. The first glimpse opened with a mother and son joking about Gen Z relationship jargon and the quirks of modern marriage, and the director introduced the pair as bringing “a kind of love that’ll soothe you in this chaos” (India Today).
Cast
- Roshan Meka as Abhay
- Preity Mukhundhan as Apoorva
- Devadarsini Sukumaran (listed by The Times of India)
Roshan Meka’s previous film as lead was the period drama Champion; Preity Mukhundhan made her debut in Kannappa.
