Kishkindhapuri (కిష్కింధపురి) is a 2025 Telugu horror thriller written and directed by Koushik Pegallapati and produced by Sahu Garapati under Shine Screens. It stars Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran, with Sandy in a key role and music by Chaitan Bharadwaj. It released in theatres on 12 September 2025 and has been streaming on ZEE5 since 17 October 2025.

What the story is about

In 1989, the owners of Suvarna Maya, a radio station in the fictional village of Kishkindhapuri, are killed by a malevolent spirit that speaks through the station’s radios. The building is sealed with talismans and left shut. Thirty years later Raghava, his girlfriend Mythili and their friend Sumith run “ghost walking” tours that stage scares for tourists. When their next group chooses Suvarna Maya, Raghava breaks the seals and leads everyone in, and the spirit that has waited there for decades follows them out, warning through their radios that everyone who entered will die.

Kishkindhapuri opened on 12 September 2025. Our record lists a running time of 125 minutes. Wikipedia describes it as a commercial success, Sreenivas’s first in six years since Rakshasudu, with a lifetime gross of over ₹24.10 crore. The Times of India and Cinema Express both rated it 3 out of 5, and Telangana Today praised the writing, performances, score and cinematography, while The Hindu found it watchable but safe.
