What critics said

Reviews were mixed. Neeshita Nyayapati of The Times of India (2.5 out of 5) felt it “falls into the trappings of every other 90s family or romantic drama”, and Sangeetha Devi Dundoo of The Hindu called it “overdrawn, melodramatic and misogynistic with a sliver of a story”. Mukesh Manjunath of Film Companion praised Kiran Abbavaram’s acting and the music but wrote that it “struggles to make its leading man a star”. The Hans India and Sakshi each gave 2.5 out of 5, and TV9’s reviewer felt it showcased the father-son relationship well.
