Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum (transl. Praise Krishna, the Guru of the Universe) is a 2012 Indian Telugu-language action drama directed by Krish and produced by Saibabu Jagarlamudi and Rajeev Reddy under First Frame Entertainment. It combines the Surabhi theatre tradition with an action story set against illegal mining in Bellary. It stars Rana Daggubati and Nayanthara, with Kota Srinivasa Rao, Milind Gunaji, Murali Sharma, Brahmanandam, Posani Krishna Murali and L. B. Sriram. Released on 30 November 2012 to strong reviews, it was a blockbuster.
Story
Babu is a gifted young performer in the Surabhi theatre troupe led by his devoted grandfather, but he resents the art’s meagre earnings and plans to move to the USA. Following his grandfather’s death, the troupe travels to Ballari to scatter his ashes in the Tungabhadra. There a clash with a local goon draws them into the brutal world of illegal mining.
Cast
Rana plays Babu, the young stage artist. Nayanthara plays a documentary filmmaker and dubbed her own lines. Sameera Reddy appears in a special song, and Venkatesh makes a cameo.
Music
Mani Sharma composed the music. At the audio launch in Hyderabad on 7 October 2012, the director and Rana co-hosted, Nayanthara made a rare appearance, and Venkatesh handed the first CD to S. S. Rajamouli.
Release
The censor board passed it with a U/A certificate after 14 cuts, reducing the violence in the fight scenes. It was released simultaneously in Tamil as Ongaram and in Malayalam as Action Khiladi, and later dubbed into Hindi.

NDTV praised the acting and script. Rediff called it thought-provoking and entertaining, and Oneindia gave it 3.5 out of 5. According to the source, it collected around ₹45 crore worldwide.
