Garam

Garam (transl. Hot) is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language action romantic comedy written and directed by Madan Mohan Reddy. It stars Aadi Pudipeddi and Adah Sharma, and was produced by Sai Kumar, Aadi’s father. It was released on nearly 500 screens worldwide.

Story

Varala Babu is weak at studies, out of work and constantly scolded by his father. Thrown out of the house, he vows to prove himself and heads to Hyderabad to look for a job. There he falls for Sameera, who is already being troubled by a man named Biju. He also finds his childhood rival Ravi paralysed and bedridden in hospital and saves him from attackers. That leaves Babu responsible for protecting both his friend and the woman he loves from Biju.

Production

Release and box office

Garam opened on nearly 500 screens worldwide, including 360 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the same day as Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha. According to the source, it grossed ₹3 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its opening day and ₹5 crore over the opening weekend.
