Heartbroken and blaming her weight, she joins a slimming clinic called Size Zero. When a friend there falls seriously ill because of the clinic’s weight-loss drugs, Sweety launches a campaign against it, and finds allies, and perhaps love, along the way.

Production

The bilingual was announced in February 2015 with Arya and Anushka Shetty, with Nirav Shah as cinematographer and M. M. Keeravani as composer. The Tamil version began shooting in March 2015 after a launch in Chennai. Shruti Haasan was originally reported to have an extended guest role but left the project, and Sonal Chauhan joined in April 2015. Anushka Shetty put on weight for the role. Filming, which included romantic scenes at Ramoji Film City, was completed on 18 July 2015.

Release

Initially set for 2 October 2015, the film was postponed twice and released on 27 November 2015 alongside Inji Iduppazhagi. Before release, Sonal Chauhan described it as a story with a lot of heart.

Reception

The Times of India found it slow and preachy at times but with some laugh-out-loud moments, while Deccan Chronicle called it a good concept gone badly wrong. Reviewing the Tamil version, The Hindu found many minuses in the story and criticised the dubbing.
