Hebah Patel (born 6 January 1995) is an Indian actress who works mainly in Telugu films. A former model, she began her screen career in 2014 with films in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu, and made her name with Kumari 21F (2015). She won the Santosham Film Award for Best Debut Actress – Telugu for Ala Ela and Kumari 21F, and her other notable films include Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam and Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada (both 2016), Andhhagadu and Angel (both 2017), and 24 Kisses (2018).
Early life
Patel was born in Mumbai into a Kannada-speaking family; because of her surname, people often assume she is Gujarati. She graduated from Sophia College for Women in Mumbai and worked as a model before acting.
Debut in three languages
Her first film was the Kannada Adyaksha (2014), in which she played Aishwarya. The same year she made her Tamil debut as Naseema in the well-reviewed Thirumanam Enum Nikkah and her Telugu debut as Shruti in Ala Ela.
Breakthrough with Kumari 21F
Her breakthrough came in 2015 with Kumari 21F, a coming-of-age love story in which she played Meena Kumari, an assault survivor, opposite Raj Tarun. Her performance was widely praised, and a Deccan Chronicle reviewer wrote that she stole the show.
2016 was a successful year with three releases: Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam, as Supriya, again with Raj Tarun; Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, in which she played Nithya/Amala opposite Nikhil Siddharth, a critical and commercial success; and the female-centred Nanna Nenu Naa Boyfriends, as Padmavati.
2017 to 2020
In 2017 she played Meera opposite Varun Tej in Mister, Dr. Netra opposite her frequent co-star Raj Tarun in Andhhagadu, and appeared with Naga Anvesh in Angel. Her only 2018 film was 24 Kisses, with Adith Arun, in which she played Sri Lakshmi. After a year without a release, she played a cameo as Sarah in Bheeshma and a supporting role as Srujana in Orey Bujjiga in 2020, and made her streaming debut as Tanya in the Telugu series Masti’s. In 2021 she featured in the song “Dinchak” with Ram Pothineni in Red.
Resurgence
After a downturn, she won praise for playing Radha in Odela Railway Station (2022), with The Hans India noting how naturally she fitted the role. Her work since has included Geetha (2022), The Great Indian Suicide (2023), Ala Ninnu Cheri (2023), Honeymoon Express (2024) and Dhoom Dhaam (2024). In 2025 she returned to Tamil cinema after ten years with Vallan, playing a model named Priya.
