2 Countries (2 కంట్రీస్) is a 2017 Telugu romantic comedy directed and produced by N. Shankar (Nimmala Shankar) under Mahalakshmi Arts. It stars Sunil and Manisha Raj and is a remake of the 2015 Malayalam film of the same name. Gopi Sundar composed the music. The film released on 29 December 2017.
What the story is about
Ullas makes his living by tricking people in his home town and cares about little except easy money. When a marriage proposal comes from Laya, an Indo-Canadian woman, he grabs it, drawn by the promise of moving to Canada and getting rich without risk. Only after the wedding does he learn that Laya is a chronic alcoholic, and that there is money in her name that she cannot claim because of her drinking. The comedy follows how this money-minded husband deals with a wife he never bargained for, and whether his plan survives him actually falling for her.
