Naandhi: a wrongful accusation and a courtroom fight
Naandhi is a Telugu legal drama starring Allari Naresh as Surya Prakash, a software employee accused of a murder he did not commit. His imprisonment and the attempt to clear his name are the centre of the story. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays Aadhya, the lawyer who takes up his case.
The film follows the personal cost of a false accusation as well as the courtroom contest. Police pressure, intimidation and the loss of an ordinary life provide the stakes; the outcome is left unspoiled here. Although it uses legal arguments within its fictional story, this is a film guide, not an explanation of current Indian criminal procedure.
Cast, director and music
Vijay Kanakamedala directed Naandhi, produced by Satish Varma under SV2 Entertainment. Sricharan Pakala composed the music. The film reference records these credits and its theatrical release on 19 February 2021.
The official Aha listing names Allari Naresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Praveen, Harish Uthaman, Vinay Varma and Priyadarshi. These are performers in the film, not accounts of real people involved in the fictional murder case.
Where to watch and which date matters
Naandhi is currently listed as a premium title on Aha. Its address uses the spelling “naandi”, while the displayed film title is Naandhi; the link above takes you to that official listing. Access may depend on your subscription and location.
The original Aha premiere was 12 March 2021, after the February cinema release. Contemporary coverage of Aha’s announcement includes the premiere trailer. Our Naandhi OTT record separates the streaming date from the theatrical one.
Aha shows a 2-hour-17-minute version and a U/A 16+ label. The reference runtime above is 146 minutes; the platform duration describes the version it currently lists. Police violence and imprisonment are important to the premise, so do not assume that the presence of a familiar comedy actor makes this a light comedy. Listing checked 3 October 2026.
