Raju Gari Gadhi (transl. King’s Bedroom) is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language horror comedy directed by Ohmkar and produced by Varahi Chalana Chitram, AK Entertainments and OAK Entertainments. Its ensemble cast includes Ashwin Babu, Chethan Cheenu, Poorna, Eshanya Maheshwari, Dhanya Balakrishna, Dhanraj, Shakalaka Shankar and Vidyullekha Raman. It drew mixed reviews but was a commercial success, and it launched the Raju Gari Gadhi series.
Story
A palace in Nandigama, Andhra Pradesh, is said to be haunted, and 34 bodies have turned up there over time. Six months after the latest deaths, a TV channel stages a reality show inside it, “7 Days with a Ghost”, with a prize of ₹3 crore for anyone who survives. Seven contestants move in, and the comedy and scares follow.

Production
The director, formerly credited as Ohmkkar, changed his screen name to Ohmkar for this film, and his brother Ashwin Babu played the lead. Rather than add a separate comedy track, the makers built the comedy into the script itself. Gnanam was the cinematographer.

Sai Karthik composed the soundtrack.
Release, reception and sequels
The film was released alongside Columbus and Kanche, and Nimmagadda Prasad bought the satellite rights. Idlebrain gave it 3 out of 5, noting that its curious title and promotions got people’s attention and that it offered decent comedy and a twist. Its success led to Raju Gari Gadhi 2 (2017) and Raju Gari Gadhi 3 (2019).
