Shadow is a 2013 Telugu-language action thriller directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Paruchuri Kireeti under the United Movies banner. It stars Venkatesh, Srikanth, Aditya Pancholi, Taapsee and Nyra Banerjee. Released on 26 April 2013, it received negative reviews and fared poorly at the box office.
Story
Rajaram’s father, Raghuram, an investigative journalist, infiltrates the gang of the crime lord Nana Bhai and passes evidence to a newspaper publisher, but Nana discovers him, kills him brutally and destroys his family. Rajaram escapes, grows up under the protection of a mentor, Baba, and, taking the identity of “Shadow”, sets out to track down and take revenge on everyone responsible.

Music and production
S. Thaman composed the soundtrack, released by T-Series; V. V. Vinayak launched the title track, and the audio was launched in Hyderabad on 15 March 2013. Prasad Murella was the cinematographer and Marthand K. Venkatesh the editor. Shadow was the first Telugu film shown at Prasads Multiplex on a screen equipped with Auro 11.1 3D sound.
Release
First planned for Ugadi on 11 April 2013, the film was postponed and released on 26 April with a U/A certificate. It was later dubbed into Tamil and into Hindi as Meri Jung: One Man Army.
Reception and box office
Critics were largely negative: The Times of India called it a mash-up of other films with nothing new, and 123telugu said style without substance never works, though Oneindia felt it would please Venkatesh’s fans. According to the source it collected a worldwide share of ₹11.5 crore in its full run.
