Mr. Majnu (meaning “Mr. Lover Boy”) is a 2019 Telugu-language romantic comedy written and directed by Venky Atluri and produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. It stars Akhil Akkineni and Nidhhi Agerwal. It drew mixed reviews that praised the leads and the music but not the plot, and was a commercial failure.
Story
Vicky is a charming young man who flirts with everyone and has never had a serious relationship. Nikki dreams of a husband as devoted as Lord Rama and is disgusted by what she hears about him. When her brother is set to marry Vicky’s sister, the two are thrown together, and Nikki begins to see a gentler side to him. Whether a born flirt can settle into the kind of love she wants becomes the film’s question.

Music
S. Thaman composed the soundtrack, released by Sony Music India. It was well received, especially the song “KopamGa KopamGa”, and The Times of India called Thaman the film’s unsung hero.
Reception
Critics were mixed. The Times of India said Akhil steadied a rocky film that was less heartwarming than Venky Atluri’s Tholi Prema but still engaging, Firstpost found some well-crafted sequences, and The Indian Express said it worked in building Akhil’s image as a romantic hero.
Box office and versions
Despite a strong pre-release buzz, it failed commercially, Akhil’s third straight failure. It was dubbed into Hindi, Kannada and Tamil, and later remade in Odia.
