Making and music

The film was launched with a muhurtam ceremony in Hyderabad on 18 October 2023, and shooting began there on 6 August 2024. Nithiin was first attached to the lead before Siddhu was chosen. It was meant to be Srinidhi Shetty’s Telugu debut, but the long production meant HIT: The Third Case reached theatres first. Thaman S. composed the music, his first film with Neeraja Kona and Siddhu; the songs include “Mallika Gandha”, sung by Sid Sriram, and “Sogasu Chudatharama”, sung by Karthik and Adviteeya Vojjala. V. S. Gnanashekhar shot the film.

What critics said

Reviews were mixed, with praise for Siddhu’s performance. The Times of India, India Today and Cinema Express each gave 3/5; Cinema Express called it “complex and messy in all the interesting and enjoyable ways, and yet it’s not messy enough”. The Hindu found the writing thin for a three-character story and criticised its handling of surrogacy, while praising the production design and cinematography. Telugu360 rated it 2.25/5. Cinema Express, citing Sacnilk, put its domestic box-office earnings at ₹8.18 crore net.
