Sharwanand (Myneni Sharwanand) is an Indian actor and producer who works mainly in Telugu films, with a few in Tamil. After supporting roles in films such as Shankar Dada MBBS (2004), he became a lead actor with Vennela (2005) and Amma Cheppindi (2006), and his commercial breakthrough came with Run Raja Run (2014). His other successes include Shatamanam Bhavati and Mahanubhavudu (2017).
He was born on 6 March 1984, according to Wikipedia and Wikidata. Sources differ on his birthplace: Wikipedia says he was born in Vijayawada and brought up in Hyderabad, while Wikidata lists Hyderabad. He went to The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, where Ram Charan and Rana Daggubati were his classmates, and took a B.Com from Wesley Degree College, Secunderabad. He is the grandson of Myneni Hariprasada Rao, and the actor Ram Pothineni is his cousin.
Career
He first came to notice in a Thums Up advertisement with Chiranjeevi and debuted in Aidho Tareekhu. He shared the screen with Chiranjeevi in Shankar Dada MBBS and with Venkatesh in Sankranthi (2005) and Lakshmi (2006). Amma Cheppindi earned him critical acclaim, and Gamyam (2008), Prasthanam and Andari Bandhuvaya (2010) were well regarded. In Tamil he gained recognition with Engaeyum Eppothum (2011), which won him the SIIMA Award for Best Male Debut – Tamil. He turned producer with Ko Antey Koti (2012).
Run Raja Run, produced by UV Creations, was one of the blockbusters of 2014. Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju (2015), with Nithya Menen, won him a Nandi Special Jury Award, and Express Raja (2016) followed. Shatamanam Bhavati, produced by Dil Raju, collected almost ₹50 crore. His 25th film, Radha (2017), drew mixed reviews, while Maruthi’s Mahanubhavudu was a critical and commercial success.
Later films include Padi Padi Leche Manasu (2018), Ranarangam (2019), Jaanu (2020), a remake of the Tamil film ’96, Sreekaram and Mahasamudram (2021), the time-travel film Oke Oka Jeevitham (2022), which received generally positive reviews, Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu (2022) and Manamey (2024). In 2026 he starred in Nari Nari Naduma Murari, released at Sankranthi to generally positive reviews, and Biker.

He married Rakshita Reddy on 3 June 2023 at The Leela Palace in Jaipur, according to Wikipedia, citing The Indian Express. They have a daughter.
